Da Debate
Did Obama just say he was opposed to capitalism??
Its simple. Present to each and every Wall Street firm 2 options
1) Play in the system, or
2) Don’t play in the system
For those firms that choose out of the system, there is no additional oversight or penalties . . . provided they remain solvent. However, if they fail as a business concern, then their Senior executives will be personally liable for any outstanding losses incurred by the failure (with no option for bankruptcy) and will face mandatory, lengthy jail sentences.
Those that play in the system will be eligible for a government bailout. Provided, that they will first be subject to a massive audit and all employees AND executives of said firm who earned $1 million or more in any year over the last 10 years will be automatically jointly and severally personally liable for payment of the complete amount of the bailout up to the total compensation (including stock options, benefits, bonuses, etc) they amassed over the prior ten years. All who are unable to repay the money they falsely earned (falsely, because if they were doing their jobs they would have seen what I saw in 1999, that the entire run up was built on a house of cards) will face mandatory, decade long (or more) prison terms.
Thats only fair, isn’t it?? Is there any compelling reason not to bankrupt the whole lot of them??
VCDL is reporting it just happened.
Yahoo!!!! Now I won’t be forced to carry illegally on car rides to the Georgia beach.
I attended the Congressional Sportsman Foundation dinner and got drunk on bpourbon while hanging with Wayne LaPierre, Chris cox, American Hunter editor scott Holmsted and the author of the Politically incoirect Guide to Hunting before heading off to a second dinner at the Capitol grill where we drank and ate some more.
The only thing missing was passionate lovemaking (which I know my wife won’t be allowing tonight since I’m drunk and she’s probably sound asleep).
And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don’t mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There’s no reason for it, you’ve gotta go sometime. If you can hear this whispering you are dying.
I never said I was frightened of dying.

RIP, Richard Wright
You will remember the other day when I predicted the results of this glorious, and injury prone, opening weekend of the football season. Well, you ask - how did I fare??? Lets just say opening weekend is always the toughest - where you base your picks on last seasons performance and a gut level reaction to how folks faired in the offseason and who wants it most. But you can never get them all right - and in that regard I’m pretty thrilled with going 9-7

Here’s the deal, it used to be great. Fantastic even. A wonderful source for scouting because I could swoop in and get a sense of what the terrain was like - how steep, how remote, etc. No more. Does anyone know how I can turn the 3d viewing back on???
When deciding to go commando for the day, and taking the dog for a walk,, make sure you wear pants with a zipper that doesn’t slide down on itself.
He’s gonna get underway soon.
In the meantime, I’m watching the GIants beat the Redskins (yeah!!!). And lusting over our next Vice President.

So, as Andrew Rump Rancher Sullivan (I point out his blatant aids infected homosexuality - not to discriminate against gay people, but to show how one sided and unfair his idiotic criticims of Sarah Palin are) continues his descent into delusional and Olbermanesque Obamamamania, I continue to remain fastinated by his concern over “vetting.” Cause, seriously, if she wasn’t vetted and there was something seriously wrong with her . . . . well then the Republican base would be the ones to lose, and he’d stand to gain everything. So far, that hasn’t happened, all they can come up with are some pretty pathetic, petty, and sexist complaints about OTHERS in her family.
video is playing - is it wise to say he didn’t love his country till he was shot down?
sorry, just not paying attention. hes too boring
i liked how he reached out to Obama “we are both Americans”
dont be diverted by ground noise and static. good line.
completely classy
and the left has no class.
he ought to ask why Barak is trying to interupt his speech with these anti American protesters
hes on a roll now talking about the loss of trust
nukes nukes nukes
nuclear and drilling, using OUR resources are the secrfet to independence
hell yeah!
strong ending, story of treatment as POW was good Call to fight at the end was powerful
LOVE how he attacked GOP
Their playing Barracuda by heart as the balloons drop
Ooooh, Barracuda!!
Just off the phone with two of my outside consulants. One is a former senior clinton staffer (white house and #2 at cabinet agency) and the other is a senior Obama advisor and long time Teddy Kennedy staffer.
Both think Obama has blown it, is at risk of losing the base of anti war left wing nutjobs who don’t get politics, won’t get Hillary voters and has no way of winning strong gun rights rust belt union workers. In their mind Biden hurts, more than helps in PA and Ohio (both were pushing for Sebulis).
Think he is going to need to be incredibly lucky - via major fumble by McCain - to actually win.
Seriously.
While sharks are all fine and good when I’m out fishing for them, a big one can scare the crap out of you when your in a flimsy kayak.
And St Simons has a bunch - though thankfully they like to breed here, not eat people here. Still, as I was out on my Kayak in the intercoastal/St Simons River bay about 1/2 mile from shore, I saw what I thought at first was a dolphin but ended up being a 5 or 6 foot hammerhead come up near the surface.
That’ll put the fear of god in you.
I had my S&W Model 66 (stainless) with 6 rounds of lead nose .357 Mag with me, but frankly I have no idea what good that would do in an actually shark attack.
I usually carry it when I go out more for the occaisional gater you find in the backwaters.
But I’m wondering, if a shark came after my kayak (something I doubt they would do as at 17 feet its longer than most of them, and hollow and plastic) would a gun have any impact???
UPDATE
Sounds like a .45 will do the trick . . . . for a gator at least.
