Lent, or, what not to say to the tired stressed out emotional wife
True story:
Wife: so, what are you gonna give up for lent this year.
Me: hamburgers. Love ‘em, but I could do to cut down on them. Say goodbye to the big mac.
Wife: that’s a good one. I’m at a loss though. I don’t know what to give up.
Me: how about NOT having sex with me.

“umm, that wouldn’t qualify because it’s not a sacrifice for you, too.”

Why does it need to be a sacrifice for me too???
I gave up hamburgers. Isn’t that enough of a sacrifice??
