McCain Palin 2008

What I like best about the Sarah Palin pick - I mean other than the Hot MILF who hunts and fishes, has 5 kids, is married to her high school sweat heart, and will win over the Hillary crowd (my wife is thrilled!!!) - is that her entire political career has been built on rooting out corruption in one of the nation’s most corrupt states.

Like Bobby Jindal, in her short period in office, she has rocked the boat and brought real concern to the entrenched powers that be. Whats most surprising about this though, is unlike Jindal who is going after Democrats - Palin went after Republicans. Heck, she even went after family members - and has drawn the scorn of the state party who were unable to stop her as she took down their most powerful member - Frank Murkowski who famously appointed his daughter to fill his Senate seat.

And in that respect, in an election where the Republican’s biggest liability isn’t Iraq but Ted Stevens and the Alaskan Bridge To Nowhere, McCain took his maverick mantle by the reins and just signed up the Anti Stevens to help him root out the corruption endemic in DC.

Compare that to Barack “Corrupt Chicago Democratic Political Machine Champion” Obama.

  1. If McCain gets elected, with Sarah Palin as VP, do you think it’ll be easier for Billary to get a nomination, in 2012?

  2. sweetheart, even? although as avid outdoors persons, perhaps sweat heart is more appropriate. :)

  3. Jersey - yes. If/when Obama loses, Hillary is going to have to be the go to nominee for Dems. Does she win election in 2012??? I don’t know, but I’m sort of hopeful for Palin/Jindal in 2012.

  4. Countertop:

Interesting. Then I wonder how much Billary will secretly support the McCain campaign.

  6. THE BALLAD OF SARAH PALIN
(Sung to the tune of Davy Crockett)

Born in the northern part of Idaho,
Destined for fame, she just didn’t know.
Learned to hunt and fish, even in the snow,
Never was one to just go with the flow

    Sarah, Sarah Palin,
    lady from “The Last Frontier.”

Moved to the North before she was one,
Landed in the “Land of the Midnight Sun.”
Beautiful and strong, she likes to have fun,
She always works hard, but her work is never done.

    Sarah, Sarah Palin,
    lady from “The Last Frontier.”

With her five kids and a man named Todd,
They carved out a life eatin’ moose and cod.
Alaska had some waste and a lot of fraud,
So she went to work and laid down her fishin’ rod.

    Sarah, Sarah Palin,
    lady from “The Last Frontier.”
