Halloween at Radio City Music Hall.
Here’s the INSANE setlist.

Will Zoombabooobablooombababooey post this stellar show???

Franklin’s Tower
Words by Robert Hunter; music by Jerry Garcia

In another time’s forgotten space
your eyes looked through your mother’s face
Wildflower seed on the sand and stone
may the four winds blow you safely home

Roll away … the dew
Roll away… the dew
Roll away… the dew
Roll away… the dew

You ask me where the four winds dwell
In Franklin’s tower there hangs a bell
It can ring, turn night to day
Ring like fire when you lose your way

Roll away… the dew . . .

God help the child who rings that bell
It may have one good ring left, you can’t tell
One watch by night, one watch by day
If you get confused just listen to the music play

Roll away… the dew . . .

Some come to laugh their past away
Some come to make it just one more day
Whichever way your pleasure tends
if you plant ice you’re gonna harvest wind

Roll away… the dew . . .

In Franklin’s Tower the four winds sleep
Like four lean hounds the lighthouse keep
Wildflower seed in the sand and wind
May the four winds blow you home again

Roll away… the dew
Roll away… the dew
Roll away… the dew
Roll away… the dew
You better roll away the dew

  1. Mark, formerly of Knockin’ On The Golden Door, posted up a China->Rider about a week ago… not sure what year, I never watch youtubery.

Interesting website for the setlist; I’ve never seen that one. Setlists.net is decent … a lame generic www but it’s all GD.

But uh, is that a request? For 10/31/80? I’ll take it as a request. I can’t promise anytime soon but I’ll shoot for within a month from now.

    garciya later!

  2. The China Cat/Rider I posted was from the Grateful Dead Movie. I have no idea what show it was. jerry was playing Wolf and Phil has a beard, if that helps pin it down. There’s also a unique jam 8 minutes into China Cat that I’ve heard on Dick’s Pick 20 so it might be the Maryland or Syracuse show in September of 76. If anyone knows for sure, sing out.

  3. I think this is right…

Abbadon’s China-Rider youtube post should be identical to what’s on Disc 1 of the Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack box set — Winterland October 17, 1974
